Wir päsentieren die sieben eindrucksvollsten Gemälde von John William Waterhouse (1849-1917).
Hylas, Begleiter und Waffenträger des Herakles, wird auf dem Gemälde von unwiderstehlichen Nymphen in ihren Teich gezogen. Herakles sucht daraufhin vergeblich nach ihm und muss ohne ihn in kommende Schlachten weiterziehen.
